At approximately 11:45am on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 after approaching on foot, a white male, beard, army style hat with pin entered the Waterbury “Watertown Avenue” branch of Thomaston Savings Bank. He approached a teller with a $100 bill and asked for change. The teller asked if he was a customer and the individual provided the teller with a name. After checking, the teller apologized explaining she couldn’t cash the bill since the name given was not in our system. He then handed the teller a note stating this was a “robbery” with other info written which the teller could not read. The teller complied with the robbery note, handed him cash and after taking back the note and the $100 bill, the individual left on foot. No weapon was displayed and information was received that this individual was suspected in two other store/donut shop robberies on the 10th and 11th. This individual approaches and leaves the target on foot with a getaway vehicle parked on a side street.
