On January 22nd, 2016, an African American male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, maroon knit hat and light colored jeans, entered the Waterbury Downtown Store and approached the teller line. The male approached the teller and handed her a piece of paper and stated, "Don't alert the guard cause I have a gun, I will shoot you". The teller complied and took the funds from her top drawer and placed them in the bag. The male left without further incident. No injuries resulted from this robbery.
