--The female suspect has been located and identified. The investigation is ongoing.-- The Greenwich Police Department is investigating an armed bank robbery that occurred on 01/30/2015 at the Greenwich Bank and Trust (1103 East Putnam Avenue). The pictured suspect, described as a white female, mid 40’s, 5’3”-5’5”, 100-115lbs., entered the bank with a gray Whole Foods shopping bag from New York. She then pulled out a sawed off shotgun from the bag and ordered the manager to the ground. The suspect then ordered the two tellers to put their hands on their heads and told one of them to retrieve the cash from both drawers. The suspect threatened to kill them if there were any dye packs in with the money. The suspect received approximately $13,000 in cash, fled the bank and ran towards I-95 The pictures of the suspect were captured from an ATM inside of the Hudson City Savings Bank at approximately 0938 hours on 01/30/2015. The female suspect entered Hudson City Savings Bank and then came out and walked across the street to People’s Bank. The suspect then entered People’s Bank, walked out and then went back inside to the Hudson Savings Bank. In the surveillance footage, the suspect was seen at all times on foot and it is believed that she was casing these two banks prior to robbing the Greenwich Bank and Trust.
