On May 24th, 2017, at 4:43pm, a Caucasian male wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, jeans, black baseball hat, sunglasses and black and yellow gloves, entered the Mansfield, CT Store. The suspect approached the teller and gave him a demand note that stated, "Give me the money in the drawer. This is not a joke. Do it now". The teller complied and gave the suspect funds from his top drawer. The suspect took the money and demanded more money. The teller complied and gave the suspect additional funds from his top drawer. The suspect took the funds and demanded the teller give him more money. The teller complied and gave the suspect funds from his top drawer. The suspect took the money and left without further incident. The Store retained the demand note. No injuries resulted from this robbery. A guard is not assigned to the location. The CT State Police Troop C are investigating; Major Crimes Unit is assigned. The CT State Police were able to determine the person's identity, the suspect was arrested early Thursday morning.
