On August 28th, 2017 at 12:49PM, a Caucasian male wearing a white t-shirt, jeans, white sneakers and black baseball hat entered the Branford, CT location and approached the teller line. The teller greeted the suspect and the suspect stated he needed to cash a check. The teller told him to wait a moment as she was verifying funds in her top drawer. The suspect pointed at the money on the counter and stated, "Can I have some of that?". The teller stated no, and the suspect reached over and grabbed the money from the counter. The suspect took the money and left without further incident. No injuries resulted from this robbery. The Branford Police and FBI are investigating. Shortly after the robbery, the suspect was arrested by the CT State Police in Old Lyme, CT.
