On Friday, November 4, 2016, at approximately 5:37 p.m., the Cobblestone branch office of Liberty Bank, located at 72 Berlin Tpke., Cromwell, CT., was robbed. The lone male subject entered through the front door, walked over to the victim teller and handed her a handwritten note. The subject robber did not verbally express/utter anything. The subject robber was described as a white male approximately 5’9 – 6’0” in height with a heavy build, brown hair, a goatee, wearing a dark colored sweatshirt and jeans. The subject robber did not wear gloves or a mask or attempt to disguise himself. The subject robber placed the items in the front pocket of his sweatshirt and fled the bank on foot. A witness photographed the truck and registration plate as the vehicle left the parking lot. The Cromwell Police Department is investigating the robbery. Det. Young, 860-635-2256. The Cromwell Police Department identified and arrested the subject robber later in evening.
