On September 24th, 2016, a Caucasian male wearing a black t-shirt, dark jeans and sneakers entered the Winsted, CT Store. The suspect approached teller Shirley Cole and placed a note on the counter that stated, "$50.00 and $100.00 only. Calmly and quietly and fast. Do not try to put a $50.00 bill on top of small bills. No Dye Pac, no GPS". Teller complied giving the suspect funds from her top drawer. Demand note was retained by the Store. The Winchester Police Department is investigating; Sgt. Boyne has been assigned.
