On March 24th, 2015 a white male wearing a white baseball cap, black leather jacket and blue jeans entered the Torrington Commons store approached a teller and stated “Can I talk to you around the side."The suspect stated "I don't want to scare the other customers in the branch but this is a robbery." He stated "I'm not kidding." the suspect implicated that he had a weapon but none was observed. The suspect then stated "I have cancer." The suspect demanded to the safe. Suspect did remove USC from the vault in the rear room and fled.
