On Friday, January 23, 2015, at approximately 4:58 p.m., the Durham branch office of Liberty Bank, located at 357 Main Street, Durham, CT., was robbed. The lone male subject entered through the back door and walked directly to the first teller station and verbally demand money, stating; “This is a robbery, give me all of your money. I don’t want to hurt anyone.” The lone robber displayed a black semi-auto pistol. The robber was fully disguised, wearing a black overcoat and gray hooded sweatshirt pulled over a black baseball cap, a full black face mask which covered his entire face, except for his eyes and mouth and blue latex gloves under fingerless cloth gloves. He also ordered two other employees out of their offices. He placed all the money, into a large back pack that he wore across the front of his chest, which was partially covered by his coat. The robber fled out the back door and believed to have escape in a vehicle, possibly an older model VW Passat station wagon, color silver or gray. An eyewitness saw a car driving away with the windows down. The robber is believed to be the same subject who has committed several other area bank robberies over the last two months.
